Road Trip
It is possible to travel from Dubai to Sana'a via road. If one takes the route through Oman, the trip will last about 33 hours and the distance is around 2,720km. However, warnings have been issued to avoid the countryside of Yemen due to civil unrests. Along the way you'd pass Al Aim (the second largest city in Abu Dhabi, and known as the Garden City), before crossing from the United Arab Emirates into Oman. In Oman you'll first pass Al Qabil (an agricultural town) and then the remote village of Sunaynah (home to the Al Nuaimi tribe and near the Sala oil field), Tanam (a centre for date production) and Sarfait. You then cross into the Hawf District of Yemen and pass Al Ghaydah, Qishn (a historical port for the export of incense) and Ma'rib (some scholars think it is the biblical Sheba), before arriving in Sana'a.
