Road Trip
It is possible to travel from Dubai to Bahrain via road. The trip will last about 11 hours and the distance is around 954km. Along the way you'd pass through Abu Dhabi and Ruwais (a small town in the western region of the Abu Dhabi Emirate), before crossing from the United Arab Emirates into Saudi Arabia. Visas need to be acquired for the entry into Saudi Arabia. Please make certain to plan ahead to avoid any complications. In Saudi Arabia you'll first pass Al Hofuf (the major urban centre in the Al-Ahsa Oasis) and then Abqaiq (a Saudi Aramco gated community and oil-processing facilities). Afterwards, you drive through Dammam (the capital of the Eastern Province), before crossing the sea on the King Fahd Causeway. While driving across the water you will pass Middle Island and Um Al Naasan before arriving in Bahrain.
